Ashley Liu, AA
STUDENT and thinkSMART@home CLINICIAN
Ashley is currently pursuing a major in Psychology at UCLA. She serves as one of the lead research assistants in Dr.Ellis’ thinkSMART lab. In addition to her ongoing work in thinkSMART, Ashley completed her independent research study under Dr. Jennifer Silvers in the Social Affective Neuroscience and Development (SAND) lab, where she investigated the association of early life stress in the form of previous institutionalization and loss aversion in decision making. Besides research, Ashley is committed to promoting mental health on campus by working as a peer counselor in Wazo Connect at UCLA. Prior to transferring to UCLA, Ashley obtained an associate's degree in Psychology at Foothill College in 2019.
Ashley is currently wrapping up her senior year at UCLA. She plans to pursue a Master of Social Work after graduation and become a child and adolescent therapist in the future. In her free time, Ashley enjoys playing music and watching movies.
