Joy Shen is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a holistic approach to treatment, understanding the inextricable relationship between nutrition and mental health. Joy is equipped as an expert in nutrition science to develop custom nutrition plans for clients, while empowering them with knowledge to thrive for a lifetime. As a licensed clinician, Joy uses evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for clients with health conditions.
Joy’s practice focuses on motivational factors for behavior change and has published research on the topic. She enjoys working with clients to develop meaningful goals and help her clients accomplish them.
Joy has an elite fitness background and incorporates physical activity plans in her practice. She was a nationally-ranked swimmer for the USC Trojans and is now an avid marathon runner. Her personal interest in sports fueled Joy to conduct and publish research on nutrition supplements for athletes.
Joy enjoys exploring L.A. and spending time at the beach with her husband and two young daughters, Zoey and Amelia.
